King Casino Manchester Champions Social Responsibility with Record-Breaking Charity Tournament

King Casino’s Manchester branch made headlines this week by raising £250,000 for homelessness charity Shelter through its annual “All-In for Manchester” poker tournament. Held at the Deansgate venue, the event saw 150 participants, including ex-Manchester United players Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand, and Coronation Street stars.

The tournament, now in its fifth year, highlights King Casino’s focus on community-driven initiatives. Players competed for a £50,000 prize pool, while local restaurants like Hawksmoor donated gourmet meals. A silent auction featuring signed City and United memorabilia added £75,000 to the total.

“Manchester’s resilience inspires us,” said King Casino’s CSR Director, Emily Hart. “This event isn’t just about funds—it’s about showing up for our city.” Shelter’s North West coordinator, Liam Patel, added, “These contributions will directly support 500 families facing housing insecurity.”

The casino also announced a year-round “Round Up for Shelter” initiative, allowing guests to donate spare change from winnings.
