King Casino Birmingham Unveils Cutting-Edge VR and AI Gaming Hub

King Casino has transformed its Birmingham venue into a tech-forward gaming destination, introducing virtual reality (VR) blackjack and AI-powered tables. The £10 million upgrade positions the Broad Street location as the UK’s first “smart casino,” targeting the Midlands’ thriving tech sector.

Players can immerse themselves in VR blackjack set in iconic Birmingham landmarks like the Library of Birmingham or join AI-driven poker tables that adapt to skill levels. A new eSports arena, open 24/7, will host tournaments for games like FIFA and League of Legends.

“Birmingham is a beacon of innovation,” said CTO Raj Patel. “We’re merging tradition with tomorrow’s tech.” Local gamer Zara Ahmed, who tested the VR suite, called it “a surreal blend of reality and fantasy.”

The launch includes partnerships with Aston University’s AI research team and the Birmingham Tech Week festival. A dedicated apprenticeship program will train 50 locals in VR development and cybersecurity.
